Big poofoo

Well how else do you say the crap hit the fan without actually saying it?- LOL, because actually when it hits- it HITS.

If you have been trying to get on to DSO's forum and gallery- well you will know by now that it's not there at the moment- This is a note from Bunny on the DSO BLog- We are experiencing some technical difficulties with our webhosts.  They have been bought out by a new company, and the new companies changes are reeking havoc on our site.  Please note I am working to resolve the problem as soon as I can.  The gallery and forum will be closed until I can get the issue resolved.

All hell broke loose yesterday when one of our designers sent through a mail saying she couldn't get on to the site - Well Bunny was on the phone to the web hosts in a shot and 7 HOURS later- Yup!! and  being hungup on 2x  and getting nowhere- it took a *nasty gram* from Bunny to get the store up and running again! I swear that woman has nerves of steel-LOL. I would have been in the looney bin already as well as having a heart attack! And you know- it's funny how a crises can bring out the worst or the best in people right? - Man, the DSO girls were all there like a shot, all helping, all offering support- even offering their husbands to help- AWWWWWW, I swear I love OUR TEAM! And yesterday just again proved how great they are - not only as *team members* but as friends too and I am proud to be a part of it!!

So while things get back to normal, please bear with us and understand that some things just aren't in our control. If you have got your challenges to put up (or even if they are in already) - just hang on until we have the gallery and forum up and running ( and with Bunny on the war path- trust me it's going to be soon-LOL). and we will all make sure you get your posting gifts etc.

I finished another LO yesterday for Bonnie ( also a South African Designer) using her new kit Woodland Alley

I can't tell you how much fun I have been having doing LO's again - it's time out, and I am loving it.

Well Nathan finish's school early today as they break up for the Winter Holidays and he is off to his camp EARLY tomorrow morning ( thank goodness Wayne is home now- BWAHAHAHA) 4am is definitely NOT in my vocabulary!OUCH! hahahaha. early bird?

Oh hell, WAYNE come home!!!!!- LOL. I am so not a morning person! My body is still in shock after having to wake up while it was still DARK!! hahahaha- I had to get Nathan and his friend Kyle to school this morning ( which is usually Waynes job)- but now with him away of course I have to torture this poor brain into thinking it's ok to get up in the cold and pitch black-while it's saying- dammit- *it's DARK ,go back to SLEEP*- I've always been the night owl and have no problems staying up till the early hours- but to have to go to sleep and wake up in the early hours- that's ANOTHER STORY! hahahaha! Thank goodness Wayne's back tonight- this morning routine is definitely for the EARLY BIRDS- lol

I had a quiet day yesterday and just spent it *recouping*. Feeling a ton better and this time I'm going to give it a chance to go AWAY-, no Madonna this weekend for SURE!

OOOOh- Bunny made these AWESOME box templates (CU ok - so great for making DONE templates for sale too) and sent them out amongst the designers at DSO to play with -

This is what I made with it- I used a heavy beige textured card to give it the *worn feel* and used a nail file(Emory board) on the edges too-

used Altered Melody by  Irene V. Alexeeva (blog freebie)- and added eyelets, bow,rose and the violin. I want to put Waynes favourite choc in it for him- perfect for on the pillow- hee hee.

Madonna who?- and a Pimp

I'm feeling tons better today- have a full blown cold and am sneezing and coughing away- but Oh goodness after having GASTRO with it yesterday- today feels amazing!- LOL. Nathan is now also at home sounding like a run away train! Someone better come and tape up the house from the outside and put a huge red cross on the door- And even Wayne jumped ship this morning and left us here as he went away on business for 3 days- HAHAHAHAHA.

And I know it's my own fault that I am feeling so bad now- you know when you can feel it coming right- you're tired, lack of energy, the snotty nose- UHUM?- Yeah until your friends phone to say they are coming to watch the rugby at your house?- LOL, and after a few tooo many shooters ( yeah we won!) during the game and all of a sudden feeling FINE(obviously tequila induced!)- and the channel on the TV is now on MTV and the new Madonna and Justin Timberlake video (4 minutes) comes on- OH BOY!!! Now my friend Antoinette and I had her dance moves down for *hung up*(confessions on a dance floor) and even did it at my 40th Bday party ( Hey - I had to brag you know- at my age I could still do that- BWAHAHAHAHA)- anyway - Ant jumps up and grabs my arm and the next thing we are both trying to copy the NEW ONES!- ARRRGH, what the hell was I thinking!- LOL We got most of them but when she does this split knee slide WE JUST FOLLOWED but forgot about the TILED FLOOR!!! OMG- Ant and I BOTH go OUCH and the rest of the people crack up laughing-(me included while holding my poor legs)- Wayne had to help me back UP- Kristine I WAS DORK DANCING FOR REAL -BWAHAHAHAHA.

I now have black and blue KNEES, and a stiff groin ON TOP of the cold etc- Someone PLEASE tell my brain it isn't 18 anymore!! hahahaha.

ARRRGH Monday

Not going to be a long post today- unless I want to keep a potty next to me-LOL. Seems I have picked up a tummy bug- (or it's punishment from the weekend- hahaha.) and have been doing the toilet *hop* since 4am!Feeling tired, cold and drained with a stomach that is making more noise than my washing machine. UUUURGH!

BUSTED-

BWAHAHAHA- Ok I have a little story for you this morning- Picture the scene- Nathan and MOM ( yeah that's me)- riding all over the town yesterday getting all his goodies so he can leave with peace of mind this morning knowing he has all he needs- right?- WELL, we usually take the BACK route home because of all the new road works etc near our house ( they have just built a HUGE shopping centre at the top of our road)- BUT yesterday there was this traffic jam going that way- a TRUCK was stuck in the road- so we turn into the MAIN road to hit all the robots etc(BLUH) , but as you turn into our road leading up to our house and the road is QUIET as it then goes into the residential area- so you sort of just put your foot down until you get to the gate-KWIM. I don't mean *RACE*- I just mean going a little faster than normal- OH OH, you getting this one already are'nt you- BWAHAHAHAHA.

There is a lady in a station wagon in front of me, and of course I'm just behind her YAKKING away to Nathan when I see this gentleman jump out from behind a TREE -RIGHT OPPOSITE OUR DRIVEWAY- dressed in a blue uniform(UHUM- hee hee)- He waves the Lady in front of me off the road to the LEFT- Now I already have my indicator on to turn RIGHT ( into my driveway!!)- when ANOTHER one jumps out- this time a lady and waves me up on the LEFT- BWAHAHAHA,

Now Nathan at this stage is LAUGHING out LOUD, saying MOM- you got BUSTED, hahahaha, MOM you got busted! OMG- By the time I had my window down I was laughing too- I don't think this poor traffic officer had EVER had a greeting like that when she said- Sorry but you were speeding- I'm laughing still and trying to act serious but it's NOT WORKING -because Nathan now has the fits and it's contagious, I just say *I know* - she starts laughing too- and of course asks to see my drivers license- (which is EXPIRED- BWAHAHAHA)- ok only by a month and I just need to pick up the new one- so she's not worried about it- She goes off to the back to right up all the details of the car etc- when Nathan jumps out the car and say's SEE you LATER MOM- and runs across the road ON HIS PHONE ALREADY- omg- I KNOW he is phoning WAYNE- and that makes me want to laugh even more-

By the time the officer got back to my window she asked where my BOY went- I of course say HOME- WELL, that got her started- she asks- YOU LIVE HERE??- UM YEAH- RIGHT there over the road- Want to see two woman cry with laughter that had the MALE OFFICER come over and ask what was going on???- That was us- she explained that my DEAR NEIGHBOUR was the one that had been phoning the traffic department and complaining of speedsters down our road- and here she had been charging MOTHERS all day and now *their* NEIGHBOUR_ BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Hell I don't KNOW what is up with the old folks next door- but YES as you have heard on some of my story's - the speedsters are at NIGHT and usually on the weekend- going 70 in a 60km zone ( yeah that was me-LOL) is not what wakes us up KWIM?- They have also complained about EVERYTHING- the trees, rubble when we were building, OH and we had officers visit us at 11pm on a FRIDAY night because they complained all the voices outside where toooo loud- HUH??- Not the music- all the laughter is what got them!- The officer actually had a giggle and said he had to come out as it was an official complaint BUT- they couldn't do anything about it anyway- LOL He then had a coke and joined in- tee hee. Can some people REALLY be that sour or bored that the only thing they do is COMPLAIN all the time- Arrrgh.

My fine was R80 ( which is $10)- the lady in front of me was going 80- she got R150 fine, Anyway - Wayne phoned to *congratulate* me on my PRIZE ( it's actually my FIRST official fine) - and said he's still amazed I don't have 100 by now- hahahahaha.

Mothers day

WAHAHA- Ok OK- I know it was Fathers Day on Sunday- but WOOOHOOOO- I got a *Mothers Day*- hee hee, My boys went fishing at about 10am and got back at 4pm! So after the morning *breakfast* and hugs and kisses and making the man of the house feel like a King- I had the day to myself! GO ME- hahaha. Did they catch anything??- NO-, I even told Nathan to at Least let his Dad *beat him* in the count-KWIM?, being Fathers day and all- well they both laughed and said that Nathan did have all the "bites"- and um Wayne didn't get ONE-.

And to make the weekend a really SLOW one- I didn't even make the 40th Bday party- was running a temp the whole day Saturday ( man I HATE SINUS and HEAD COLDS!!) and we had an Indian Summer weekend to make things worse- hot berg winds, so was in bed early. Felt much better for it on Sunday- and was probably one of the more *cleverer* things I have done for while - ROTF! So no story's of my *wild antics*- hahaha.

But thought you would like to see just how HAPPY DEON was at his fairwell party-

Wayne just phoned me- said he had to phone me so he could laugh- *history*- Wayne is driving a real cheap old car at the moment which belongs to the company he works at- so that MY Dad can HAVE his bakkie ( car) as my Dad's one is old and really not worth fixing. Now Waynes new company car was supposed to be here 2 weeks ago- but it hasn't arrived yet- so he has been driving what I would call a *piece of tin* on wheels-

WELL, he is busy driving on the freeway(highway) now to go to a meeting and the back window just DROPS into the door- WAHAHAHAHAHAHA, ( they are electronic too)- so he pushed the button and NOTHING- it's GONE!- ROTF- and it's now raining and it's cold and blowing too- and he can't do anything about it either!!! OH gee's he knows me so well- he got to the *window fell down*- and I'm already laughing that I am coughing! I can just picture him in his WORK dud's all smart and riding this banged up piece of tin with no window- WAHAHAHAHA - sorry just had to share as I always get this graphic picture when I hear stories.

Feeding the fish?

I have just figured out that my son is fanatical about his fishing!- OMG- he just spent R200 on BAIT!! HELLLOOOO??- Uhum, what happened to pumping the prawns from the MUD?- LOL, That cost's nothing but sweat! - OK I know he needs different bait to go Sea fishing- I just didn't expect it to be that much- and hell that amount would buy us Fish from the Fish shop a FEW TIMES! WAHAHAHAHAHA. So I asked him - so how many fish do you bring home now Nathan?- I *tag and release* mom- (which means they mark and measure then set it free)- OOOOH, so in other words you just spent all that to FEED THEM??- He looks at me and bursts out laughing saying I will NEVER understand- hee hee, Little does he know that I actually do- I have my own *hobby* that keeps my card smoking-LOL, but I just couldn't resist teasing him about feeding the fish for the weekend. GOURMET nogal! ( oh that means *as Well*!)LOL
