Happy Birthday Deon

ARRRGH, man I have been as sick as dog! Seems my sinus infection decided to stay around a bit longer and re-infect everything all over again. So I landed up back at the doc’s last week - AGAIN! HAHAHA Yeah, my head felt like it was in another “time zone or planet”-lol.

He put me on a different treatment course with ton’s of warnings to drink plenty of water as the tablets are renowned for getting stuck in your oesophrygus (sp) and burning holes in it! MMMMMMMMMMMM- OK, say’s me, and off to chemist to get my prescription- HAHAHA, the chemist takes one look and say’s OMG, Kim make sure you EAT and LOTS before taking these or you are going to land up puking and having bad bouts of nausea! WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH- can you say- poop in my pants! lol. I told Wayne that I was more scared to take the freaking tablets than having my eardrum burst! hahah.

But today is going WELL- no fevers for the first time in almost a week! PHEW and my brain is functioning again- ok, well it’s always blonde but hell it’s better than the fog I had last week- hee hee.

Boo hoo and Blossom

Oh man, the last week has been a blur! On Monday last week I woke up running a mild temp and felt completely “flu-ish”- You know that wonderful snot and tight chest with headache right? YUCK! lol, and of course “Kim” being the stubborn ass she is, takes asprin for the temp and hopes it’s just going to go away- LOL.  I didn’t want to worry Waynie to take off work to take me to the docs for just a sniffle -- mmmmmmmmm, by Wednesday when my dear son finally arrived with my car, I was walking around in a bit of a daze. Temps sky high and completely blocked up that I couldn’t hear out my left ear. Well Wayne and Nathan had a fit and I was at the doc’s first thing on Thursday morning. Well I had my car back – lol.

YOUCH- did I get it from the doc too, I had an ear-drum near bursting and had infected just about everything in my body due to – SINUS! lol, The stuff I live with here and just ignored as it’s a daily thing- KWIM? DANG, I didn’t know it could make me feel this miz! I’m on the mend tho and have enough tablets to sink a freaking ship- and it sure makes my head spin!(not that it needs help doing that really- lol)

We went away for the weekend so the boys could play golf ;-). I wouldn’t let them cancel it – I mean being sick here or there wouldn’t make a difference. I spent a wonderful weekend reading and spending time with the boys in the afternoon. We even went to a local “Shabeen” (Traditional Tavern/Bar) so they could have a local traditional beer. We also went on a “tour” of a crocodile sanctuary and both got a little pee-ed with me as I kept stopping to take photo’s- BWHAHAHA. It was a good weekend, even through the sweats ;-)

Nathan left this morning to go back home and I’m missing him BADLY already. ARRGH-been “boo-hoo-ing” on and off today but he starts his second year University middle of Feb and had to go and register and get his books sorted out now. He did so well last year and landed up getting 4 distinctions! One for the “summer school” class he had to take this month too- lol. I just hope it keeps going so well this year - well he knows he will have his mom on his back if he doesn’t- hahahaha. :-P

I got to play yesterday morning while Nathan was busy with my dear friend and fellow Designer Ruth Melody’s new kit called BLOSSOM.

More photo’s and re-release

AHH thanks so much for the compliments on my new “look” . I decided that the New Year needed a complete “overhaul” to start new and fresh. lol

I have some more photo’s to share with you and these were taken on Christmas Day. It was raining again of course and I didn’t have any of my usual “Christmas paraphernalia” that I have at home but we had a great day!

I’m always “Mother Christmas” and hand out the presents every year- My boys won’t let anyone else do it and usually I have a huge elf styled Christmas hat on – but that was at home in PE- lol

My Dad and Dad Vernon and Zelda had already received the “big Christmas” presents before Christmas but of course we had some little “extra’s” for them as well it’s Christmas right. ;-)

And you wonder where my boys get their humour from??- lol

One of my FAV Christmas presents this year came from my sister who was in Scotland for the holidays. The hand painted coffee mug matches my Tattoo PERFECTLY and is now sitting next to me on my desk full of coffee- hahahaha

My Dad’s best friends Lizzy and Wayne stayed with us for Christmas too and my Dad got Wayne good! He had the biggest box, which he had to cut to get open which held a six pack of beers amongst a ton of wrapping and paper! hahaha

I gave Nathan a “photobook” – the first I’ve had printed actually and he was thrilled with it- even told Calvin his best friend ( who told me later) that it was the best present he received for Christmas! AHHHHHH- it made me feel good ;-) He has shown all his friends and said he can’t wait for this years one! hahahaha- uhum, yeah got to at least get going BEFORE NOV this year! lol

HAHAHAHA- Ok the only time we have a “family” photo is at Christmas time and the boys decided they looked better the “other way around”- hahah, so I was grabbing their hair when my Dad snapped this ;-)

Happy New Year

hee hee- well a “better late than never” huh? Wishing you a fantastic, brilliant, prosperous one! I know I’m ready to grab this one by the horns- lol.

I’m back home in Pretoria and have managed to settle in again- PHEW! Did you have a good Festive Season? Mine was a lot quieter in a lot of ways but more hectic in others-all good though but sure felt like I needed another holiday when I got home. BWHAHAHA.

We rented a house at the place where I met Wayne when I was 16!

Bushmans River. Our family’s have been going there for years. We haven’t managed to get there last 5 years due to Wayne having to work over most “summer holidays” and a lot of other PITA complications ;-)This year, with him being his own boss so to speak we managed to organise it! WOOT.

We also had the “old folks” with us the whole holiday. They had us in STITCHES most days. We bought each one a “pre-Christmas gift” of a rod and reel plus some fishing equipment- and boy did it come in handy as BOTH forgot theirs at home at their front doors and remembered when they were nearly here- BWHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Wayne taking my dad for ride in the boat on about the only day we had SUNSHINE! lol Yeah- it rained and rained and I’m still “lily white” to boot! blah! hahaha.

Nathan had his best friend Calvin staying with us too and the boys actually put up the Christmas tree ( amongst lots of fights and ball throwing- lol)

What do you do when it’s still raining?? – EAT!! lol. That pagoda we put up only lasted about 4 hours- the rain turned it into a storm and by the time it had finished that poor pagoda looked like it had played “twister”- lol

hee hee- and when the stomachs are full it’s time to play! My dad actually got the hang of the Xbox- we couldn’t believe it and had tons of laughter at him playing golf against Nathan. GO DAD! lol

And what did I do? - I played “make over” with Zelda and my dad’s friend Lizzy! BWHAHAHAHA- they were so chuffed and I had fun!

Wayne and I got to go do some “alone fishing” when the sun gave us a gap and I managed to catch a fish-----

BIGGER than his! lol, and we got DRENCHED about 20 minutes later! Oy- we did laugh as I warned him about the clouds coming in from the sea- NOOOO, that’s MIST he says- BWAHAHAHA- yeah right! My wet ass and head said otherwise ;-)

To hell with the rain- we went fishing off the rocks! lol. My dad actually caught a fish too!

And I LOVE this photo! The “three generations” of the Broedelet boys! How cool is that!
